We were moving some equipment/racks. The original cable was too short so we
moved the console (a std Compaq monitor/keyboard/mouse) and attached to the
server. However, there is no connection. The screen stays black. I have
done this on HP with no problem, however the HP servers do not support
graphical console terminals so basically they are just the old dumb
devices.

Is there a way to reclaim the system console without going through a
reboot?
