Thanks.

Hi,

If your p630 is connected to a HMC (not sure which model you have), you can
use the Service Agent function to email your alerts, etc. Do you have the
p630 connected to an HMC?

Subject: Managing hardware failures

Hi,

We have some pseries 630 machines and weŽd like to be
aware of eventual hardware failures. The ideal scenario
would be if the SNMP agent could send a trap every
time a hw failure happened.

Is that possible? How do I configure this? Which kind
of hw failures could I get?

TIA
