trace a ODBC socket

Hi ALL,

As a part of a security audit, I have been asked to see if there is any way
to trace an ODBC socket back to it's originating IP source. Unfortunately
our PC Network is using DHCP. The concern is can we detect and trace a
rough SQL server's IP address. Can anyone point me in the right direction
to research this.
