had some similar problems. conflicts with PPP. Eventually was resolved
with a call to 1-800-call-aix. Sorry I dont remember the exact
resolution. I have tried to bury any knowledge of Service Agent. IMHO,
it needs a total rewrite

Has anyone else experienced a lot of frustration trying to get Service
Agent running, either on the HMC or another server.
I have 3.0.0.2 running on AIX 5.2, with approx 16 servers enrolled.
Problems:
- If a pmr create is attempted and fails, the enrollement status of the
client changes to Failed.
- There are some that I just cannot seem to get enrolled. Error return
code 5000.
- For the ones that I can get enrolled, nothing seems to make it create
an pmr automatically.
- Some clients heartbeat always say down, even though the Service Agent
Server can ping and resolve them, and the
client software is running on them
Anyone else have any of these problems?
Does anyone have it up and running cleaning and have some advice?
