also add to this list, will this be the only server serving up this content, and how critical is downtime. I think the point is the processor architecture for a web server is the LEAST of your concerns.

Do you mean "AIX vs Windows" or do you mean "RISC vs CISC - any OS" or what?
Just Intel, or any x86? AIX/Solaris/HPUX/Linux/BSD; IBM/Sun/HP?

Do you have a particular HTTP server in mind? What's it going to be used
for? What admin skills are available?
