Between "tr", "sed" and/or "dd" one can achieve the same results as
"dos2unix" and "unix2dos"

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your response, at first when the request was made I thought the
"dosutil" was the answer as well. "dosread, doswrite, etc." but it turns
out that what they have on the SUN side has the ability to add carriage
returns, convert end of file characters, Convert ISO, etc.. I thought
maybe the "mtools" that were loaded in /opt/freeware form the Linux Tools
CD was they were looking for but I was wrong.

It looks to me like many people have asked this question in the Archives,
and on google.

Thanks Again Bill,
John

Hi All,

I have a developer who is asking me for "dos2unix and unix2dos". From
what I understand these are the commands he uses when he is on a SUN
machine. Is there such a thing for AIX and if so, do you know where I
could find it?

As always,
Thanks in advance.
John
