A program called smbclient exists in SAMBA distribution (it allows an ftp-like interface for SMB/CIFS servers from Unix).
In Bull Freeware's site I think the distribution is divided in client and "client+server" (don't remember quite well)

This looks like the required option. We want the windows box to be the server. So do I still need to install Samba on Unix? And what, if anything, do I need on Windows?
