Unless I've seen a similar system without the devices, I'm hesitant to
remove anything already installed, simply because it may not be needed. It
could be that some routines in the follow-on hardware configuration
(isa/pci) make use of software in the original configuration (mca) ... a
poor design, but not unheard-of if 90% of the driver is the same.

I'd probably want to reinstall (or install elsewhere as a test) to see if
it's truly needed, first, prior to removal.

I believe the S80 is a clone image of an old MCA high node.
