I don't know if you have already read this but there is a new
redbook: SG24-6954-00 Deploying Oracle 9i RAC on IBM Eserver Cluster 1600
with GPFS.

Hi *

Anyone out there using Oracle RAC in a GPFS, HACMP/ES environment?

We are currently implementing this solution and are experiencing horrendous
performance problems with GPFS (hanging, generally slow). AIX stats show the
system isn't utilised at all (cpu, memory, disk)

High level sys config is

1 x p615 (Tivoli server, ha & gpfs member)
2 x p650 (RAC Servers)
24 GB RAM
AIX 5.1.0-04
GPFS 2.1.0.9
Oracle 9.2.0.3
HACMP 4.5.0.2

Storage FastT900
10TB

Just want to know if anyone out there has any experience of such an
installation

Thanks

Craig Liddle
