What is important is that the Oracle block size is a multiple of the OS
block size.

yes, but two "logical" IO as the pagesize is 4k @ aix
that doesnt have anything to do with what request gets to the disk...
and thats important as thats what is slowly

say
Oracle I/O blocksize is 8k. Is it meant that the OS would do two I/O
for every Oracle I/O request?
