java 1.3 on aix 5.1 and memory - ram

Hi,

I am having a problem with java 1.3.1.

I have a machine (7028 6C4 ) that runs aix 5.1. and has pre-installed java
1.3.1. (from 2001).

I just added 2G of RAM to a total of 4GB.

Now, when the developers run their applications don't perform well., they
receive some messages like: "bad sockets" "corrupted packets".

any of you have ideas ???
