I think a previous post said you have to unmount and mount a filesystem to
reset that check. Not sure if that applies to jfs2.

Subject: [aix-l] JFS2 Full does not get logged in errpt

Hi *

I just discovered something. Can someone confirm the same ?

We've had several filesystems fill up due to SAP core dumps in the past few
days. I have a job that monitors the error log for changes and it did not
get these conditions. I was concerned there was a problem in my script.
In fact, it is working fine. The filesystems are JFS2.

I looked at /var/adm/errtmplt, and there is a JFS_FS_FULL entry, but no
JFS2_FS_FULL.

Can someone test/confirm this ? I ran a "dd" to fill up /home, and indeed
there was no error logged.

Thanks, Bill.
