Subject: aix 5.2, oracle 9.2 and mount with CIO option
Any one have any experience with concurrent access mounted directory for
Oracle databases? AIX 5.2 with Maint level 1.
4 way striped logical volumes with 64K stripe size.
A simple dd if=/dev/zero of=filename bs=4096 runs incredibly slow.
IBM's whitepaper on this indicates I should see very good performance.
The actual database runs about 30% slower than with normal, cached I/O.
