Subject: Ethernet Binding

Hello All,
We are going to setup a dedicated backup server using an
IBM pSeries 615-6C3 2-way 1.2 Ghz Power4 processors.

Hoping that our backup throughput will increase, we are planning to use 2 Ethernet cards with just one I.P. address.
Our backup device/equipment is a StorageTek 9714 Timberwolf library with 6 DLT 7000 tape drives connected to the servers via SCSI adapters.

Is there any precautions or do's and dont's before I proceed with this plan?

thanks in advance,
