I have dog and gil running too on 5.1. I am familiar with gil on 4.3.3, but
dog is a new on to me. Can't speak for j2pg (Java)?

I'm moving into trying it. We can't just set TERM because the console
server isn't displaying anything. An IBM fellow happened to be here, so I
asked him and he suggested the smitty tty like you.

Smitty tty, setting vt 100 didn't work. We are trying to change the flow
control now, but have been distracted because there are some processes
running that don't look good. I'm wondering, are j2pg, dog, and gil
processes that should be running under root under aix 5.2, or is there a
chance the machine has been broken into?
