Update,
Fixed it with some help.
First problem was I needed to change the max # of physical volumes
via chlv -u'2' as it was set to 1.
Second problem was a result of it being a striped LV which I didn't
realize
initially.
So, case closed.

Greetings,
I am in the process of shuffling some data around to seperate my
7133-600 disks (20MB/sec)
from my 7133-D40 disks (40MB/sec) and have used migratepv to
successfully move some LV's.
Now I am getting an error when I try and move one large LV on an 18GB
disk to 2 9's.
The error is:
migratepv -l hdapporafin hdisk22 hdisk36 hdisk37
0516-132 lmigratelv: Incorrect entry in partition map file.
0516-134 lmigratelv: Received: 0001984535f36d58 382
0516-136 lmigratelv: Error reading input map.
0516-812 migratepv: Warning, migratepv did not completely succeed;
all physical partitions have not been moved off the PV.
Anyone ever see this before?
This is AIX 4.3.3. All 3 disks are in the same VG.
Also if I have an LV split over more than one disk can I not use the
migratepv -l command
to bring them together? I'm sure I've done this in the past (ie. some
PP's exist on hdisk14 and some on
hdisk24 and I want to put them all on hdisk14)
migratepv -l hdu12 hdisk24 hdisk14
0516-1244 migratepv: Destination physical volume hdisk14 contains
partitions of the logical volume hdu12.
0516-812 migratepv: Warning, migratepv did not completely succeed;
all physical partitions have not been moved off the PV.
Lastly isn't there a command I can run to reorg some of the LV's if I
want them spread across multiple disks (ie. like when I create a file
system)? chlv?
TIA, Mark
