The cable you need to connect the HMC with your pSeries via the
HMC's native serial port is FC 8120 (6m) or FC 8121 (15m)
The one you need to realize the connection via the async adapter
is FC 3151 (15m) - I never found that FC in pSeries manuals, but
a p/n 31L7196 which is referenced to FC 3151 in
www-900.ibm.com/cn/support/library/rs6000/download/spplanning.pdf (!!!)
It is priced to approx. 400 Euros ... so try a "third party" 25female-1:1-9male
attachment cable (it works!).
Both, the above mentioned attachment cable and the FC8120/8121
(9female/9male) cable are wired 1:1, not crossover.

We have a p670 with HMC console and are purchasing another p670. I am told
we don't need to buy another HMC console but do I need to buy another card
for the HMC console? I see 2 serial ports on the back and we have the p670
on one port and the external modem to call home on the other. How do you
connect 2 servers to 1 HMC console?
