you have to delete the old route first
odmdelete -o CuAt -q "name=inet0 and attribute=route"
might work or (like mktcpip)
chdev -l inet0 -a delroute=your_old_value

Subject: Changing default router
Dumb question time...
How do I change the default router in such a way that it will survive a
reboot?
I tried a chdev -l inet0 -a route=... -P, followed by a reboot, but that
didn't seem to work.
What am I missing? Do I have to do the whole mktcpip?
