cannot start xmperf

I tried to start xmperf from a remote Linux machine (login to aix 5.2 via
ssh) and it failed. The error message is:

X Error of failed request: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource
denied)
  Major opcode of failed request: 28 (X_GrabButton)
  Serial number of failed request: 384
  Current serial number in output stream: 482

How can I fix it? Thanks a lot. (BTW, 3dmon works well.)
