rm -rf will stop when any library it uses is deleted
you cant delete everything in a running system for the same reasons you
cant restore a running system
try to start several rm -rf /directory tasks in the backupground
and delete /usr /lib / /etc last

Subject: Re: delete whole system
I just wanted to know if I could delete it completely from a
remote terminal (using telnet)?

I'm at a disaster and recovery site and would like to know what
is the
quickest way to delete the entire system before I leave.
is the command ---> rm -R , from the root directory sufficient?
how do I place this in a cron job to delete tonight at 11PM.
thanks
joe
