You might try running sshd in debug mode on the server, and run ssh in debug
mode on the client, as in:

sshd -d -d -d

and then,

ssh -v -v -v host

and then wait for it to time out.

This may tell you whether its ssh or not.

Subject: [aix-l] OpenSSH 3.4 on AIX 5.2 - dropped connections

I am experiencing being dropped from my SSH2 sessions after a short (10-20)
minutes of idle time. TMOUT=3600, obviously it ignores that. Any clues?
