Check sysdumpdev. Dumps can be compressed, (the default now, I believe).
Since they tend to contain pages full of zeros, they compress quite well.
Also check the "-e" flag, which gives an estimate of the required size. But
don't take it seriously; I've found it to err on the low side, and the
estimate tends to increase the longer a system is up and running.
