crash doesn't exist on aix5 it's kdb plus i think u must include the kernel
file as well: "/unix".

How would you view that hd7 dump? I thought you could do a crash /dev/hd71
but I think I'm missing a flag?

Sounds like someone create those. hd7 is what we use ( hd71 primary & hd72
secondary ); but that is a throwback to my 3.2.5 days...

I have seen some AIX 5 systems with an LV of "dump_lv"
or "dumplv". How or when does this get generated?
Migrated machines keep their hd7 name, of course.
