i had a box that was not autonegatiating and was plugged in to a cisco
switch that was set to autonegotiate...the box said it was doing 100meg full
duplex, the cisco switch insisted that it was 10 half...when I set the box
to autonegotiate, things sped up tremendously...make sure both the box and
the switch AGREE on the speed/duplex.

I have noticed that my telnets/ftp connections to my Regatta running Aix 5.1
is slow at times. It seems to connect right away but takes a solid minute to
prompts for sign on text. It happens MOST of the time but not ALL of the
time?????? Once connected everything is fine. Just wondering if anyone else
has experienced this?
