Here's the result of a web search. The result was found on an IBM
website.
What is a ".taz" file and how do I use one?
A ".taz" file is a compressed tar file (identical to ".tar.Z").
You should be able to rename it .tar.Z and treat it as you would
normally.

Subject: Has anyone delt with an AIX program file with a ".taz" file
extension?
I just downloaded a VisualAge C++ file from the IBM Business Partner web
