Subject: Re: Script question: displaying SAP version
I did not know, but I was curious so I asked our SAP Basis
Admin. This is her reply.
You can display the version of the SAP kernel on the Unix. But
the kernel version doesn't necessary be the same with the SAP version
(kernel version can be in higher version). The only way to display the
SAP version is to login to SAP via SAPgui.
Display SAP kernel version :
<sapqas:t01adm> cdexe
*** /usr/sap/T01/SYS/exe/run ***
<sapqas:t01adm> ./disp+work -V |pg
Display SAP version :
- Login to SAP
- Click menu "System" => "Status"

Subject: Script question: displaying SAP version
How can I display the SAP version using a shell command?
(For MQ Series there is the mqver command. Is there something similar
for SAP?)
TIA
