it's a preseudo filesystem. It's taken from Solaris. Each process currently
running on the system will create a directory under the /proc filesystem
naming the directory after that process' id - PID number.

I just received my p650 with AIX 5.2 pre-installed. Can anyone tell me
what the /proc file system is?
