We use it all the time - with the added benefit that after transferring
the file to PC, WinZip can be used to unzip the .

We're contemplating using gzip and are wondering if anyone has seen any
problems with it (e.g. file size, errors, etc.). It seems to compress our
particular files about 50% better than 'compress'.
