Attempting to script the process of adding an etherchannel but having some trouble with the mkdev command.
Has anyone done this before (can't find specifics on mkdev in archives)?
command that is causing the issues:

mkdev -c adapter -s pseudo -t ibm_ech -a adapter_names='ent1' 'ent0' -a mode='netif_backup'
*I know it can be done via smit/smitty.
