xboard error

Hi ,
While this might not be an a very business critical problem , its driving me
nuts.

When ever I start xboard I get the following error
Xboard: Error writing to first chess program . Broken pipe

Gnuchess works fine otherwise (in non graphical mode)

Any clues ?
