Max I/O

Hello all,

I've just recently had a DBA ask me for the 'maximum
I/O' value for a particular box. He quoted the text
from the Oracle document where this is mentioned:

"The maximum value is always less than the operating
system's maximum I/O size expressed as Oracle blocks
((max I/O size)/DB_BLOCK_SIZE). If you set this
parameter to a value greater than the maximum, Oracle
uses the maximum."

Does anyone know what this is and/or where I can find
this setting on AIX? I would imagine this would have
to do with the physical drives that the oracle
instance is installed on.

Thanks!
