>From HACMP's point of view, you can. Once you have it up and running, fail
the service adapter, which should trigger a swap_adapter event, and the
service and the standby will be swapped. Verify that your switch correctly
picks up the changes.

I'm using a 1 Gig card for my stby and a 100meg card for my svc/boot. Can I
do that?

You have bigger problems than that warning message. What is the output of
cllsif?

A few things you could look into:
-did you reboot the nodes after installation?
-you have to configure only on one node, and then synchronization will
populate the configuration to the other nodes. Is this what you did?
-gen_svc and rub_svc should have respective node-names configured.

This message tipically happens when you have boot adapters on a node, but no
service adapter is associated with it. In some cases, this may be exactly
what you want to do.
Describe your configuration, and I can tell you if you should care about
this message, or not.

I'm getting the below error while trying to implement a Cascading HACMP
environment on a pair of 6M1's.

# cldare -t

Warning: There is no service with boot adapter rub_boot on node xxxx and on
network rub_boot.

Any thoughts? Thank you.

thank you!
