Rod,

We've had an EMC Sym 8830 installed for about 6 months now. Good stuff,
good support. Some problems getting going but the SAN works good now. We
have Win and AIX boxes connected to the SAN fabric and their NAS device,
called Celerra, connected to the fabric and handing out dasd for IP. We've
had some "significant challenges" getting the NAS going.

We also have an ESCON connection to our mainframe but have not implemented
it yet.

If you have any specific questions, please email me direct.

Subject: EMC or Storage Tek

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either of these
companies. We are looking to buy a EMC CX600 or a Storage Tek D178.

Any input would be appreciated.
