sp2 system can not find the tape driver anymore

My tape driver 3590 have just fixed from failure. But now I can not
reach it anymore. The error:
#tctl -f /dev/rmt0 rewind
/dev/rmt0: Cannot establish a connection to a remote service.

Would anyone help me for this?
