I agree. I had a 40x CD rom on a B50 system that needed the firmware
upgraded before it would read or boot from it. Here the link to the code
update, it's at the bottom of the page.

I think it has to do with the firmware on the system or the cd-rom. If you
have a 40x cd, then update the firmware on it...

I am loading AIX 5.1 on an F-80 an install I have done many times with
other machines. But as soon as the system reads the CD to start the
install the next thing I get is:

kmod_load failed for psekdb

 Has anyone seen this before and if so, any ideas what is going on. I am
going to try another set of cd's just incase.
