smit tcpip
further configuration
network interfaces
network interface selection
change/show
Current STATE :up/down/detach

Try this, this will prevent it from coming back online when you reboot the
node (as opposed to ifconfig down). If you don't get tr0 in the list, let me
know and I can look it up on an ATM machine what the exact path is for lane.

Subject: [Q] how to disable and enable network interface?

We have ATM card (at0 emulate as token Ring tr0) on IBM RS/6000. We
going to install 100Mbit Ethernet card on it and replace the ATM card.
Before we fullly test the Ethernet, we want both card co-exist on the same
server (different IP addresses). Can anone tell me how can I disable the
tr0 interface and enable it if need. If I disable tr0 and reboot server
will tr0 still come back? some way to avoid that?

Thanks.
