We gave the .my files (renamed .mib) a shot in HP Toptools; they didn't
work. Does anyone have any other ideas where I could acquire MIB source
files for AIX?

Thanks,

James Jackson

After additional research, I've come to understand that:

- The *.defs files that Lamar referenced are compiled object definitions for
use by the snmpinfo command.
- The compiler is the mosy command.
- The source files are located in /usr/samples/snmpd and /usr/sbin/cluster,
and have an extension of .my.
- Typically, MIB source files have an extension of .mib.

So my next question is, does anyone know for certain whether the *.my files
are really *.mib files in disguise? Apparently, I'm looking for MIB source
files for compilation by HP Toptools.

TIA,

James Jackson

/etc/mib.defs

/usr/sbin/cluster/hacmp.defs

Does anyone know of a source for free MIB's for AIX and HACMP? My boss
wants to monitor an AIX 4.3.3 HACMP cluster using HP Toptools. It appears
that there is/was an IBM product called SystemView Agent for AIX, but the
product seems to have been withdrawn. Any leads would be helpful.
