It happens on NFS-Filesystems (mountet from a linux box). AIX 5.1 is at
ML2.

Thema: Re: Changes in installp command from AIX 4.3 / AIX 5.1
Just noticed that this behavior is not consistant. I am trying to find out
what is different in the runs/systems.
Many thanks anyway!

Dear all,
I am used to appy AIX updates via "smitty update_all". As input device I
gave . (current directory / from which "smitty update_all" was called). In
AIX 5.1 the behavior of the installp command changed. installp now does try
to mount the device which of course is not possible.
Has someone else noticed this? Any suggestions for a solution/workaround?
