A 64-bit application environment and a 64-bit kernel are completely
different.

is that completely true? Wasn't there a 64-bit "application environment"
you could enable? I know there was, but I've only used the "application
environment" on 5.1. smit->system environments->enable 64-bit application
environment
That's the smit path from my 4.3.3 oracle financials box. I know i'm
running a 64-bit oracle server on a 32-bit kernel using that, but that's on
5.1. I don't know if the oracle stuff on the financials server is 64-bit.

Can anyone please advise on the following?
1. Does AIX 4.3.3 have a 64bit kernel?
2. How do you enable the 64bit Kernel?
The machine is a B80.
I have to load the Oracle 9i (64 bit version) on the machine to do some
testing
