Usually, they are in the order you created them, unless you delete stuff in
the middle.
Have you tried bouncing the HMC ? I am not normally a fan of testing
things with server bounces.

My partition definitions (on all managed systems) are displayed on the HMC
in no particular order. Is there a way to alphabetize (or sort) my
partition definitions on the HMC?
