If you're particularly keen to control resource allocation, look at WLM
(WorkLoad Manager). This would allow you to guarantee resources for your
live environment.

There is but you probably would probably not want to do it. This subject
has come up many times in the past. The AIX scheduler will probably do a
much better job of prioritizing and scheduling then you would do.

I currently have a one-way H50 running AIX 4.3.3
We are planning to upgrade the box to a 2 or 3-way
System.

Is there anyway in AIX to bind a process to a certain
Processor as there is in NT?

We have a live and a test environment running on the
Box and would like to give the test application side one
Of the processors and the live application the other.
