Subject: Apache web Server refuses to start on AIX 4.3.2
I'm new to Apache.
I've downloaded Apache 1.3.24 (precompiled binaries for RISC/6000, AIX 4.3),
from a BULL's site, and installed it on a test machine (IBM C20, with AIX 4.3.2)
While executing the startup procedure:
apachectl start
I get the following errors:
suc76:/usr/local/apache/bin>./apachectl start
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd because of the following errors:
0509-023 Symbol dlsym in httpd is not defined.
0509-023 Symbol dlerror in httpd is not defined.
0509-023 Symbol dlopen in httpd is not defined.
0509-023 Symbol dlclose in httpd is not defined.
0509-023 Symbol isinf in httpd is not defined.
0509-026 System error: Cannot run a file that does not have a valid format.
./apachectl start: httpd could not be started
Reading some docs from Apache.org, it looks like if I'm having problems with
the way that Dynamics Shared Objects (DSO), are linking at runtime, but I'm
not sure of that, (take a look at the last error).
Can anyone in the list, give me some help to get the Web Server running,
without having to compile the hole project from sources?
Any help will be appreciated, and thanks are given in advance.
Jorge
