Hi,

one more:
you can change/add the herald with

chsec -f/etc/security/login.cfg -s default -a herald="your login
prompt"
eg
chsec -f/etc/security/login.cfg -s default -a
herald="\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\r$(hostname)\n\rlogin:
"

chsec frees you from editing login.cfg thru an editor.

Hello all,

I'm looking for a way to modify the text you see when
you first get the login prompt. I'm not talking about
the /etc/motd file that displays after you log in, I'm
talking about this:

AIX Version 5
(C) Copyrights by IBM and by others 1982, 2000.
login:

Is there any way that I can change this?

Thanks!
