enq with mail confirmation

Hello all,

I'm using following command to print files on laserjet printers:

su - laserjet -c "enq -P${jobhost} -n -tlaserjet ${jobout}"

I need confirmation when a print is done.

I use the user laserjet because the console gets full with text otherwise
and
I use root-mail for real-problem messaging.

The problem is that not all mail is send tot the user laserjet.

Does anyone use a similar method or is there a better method to achieve
print confirmation ??
