For the IBM SHARK ESS- IBM advertises:
47MB/sec max thruput per rank
(a rank is a group of 8 disks ( or 7 if that rank contains a spare))
[ Remember- if multiple hosts share luns on the same rank- then
they will share that thruput ]
If you stripe a filesystem across mulitple ranks (9+), you should be able to
max out a FC card for sequential reads- over 100MB/sec. I've been able to
push 200MB/sec over 2 FibreChannel cards to a host.
Max thruput for the entire SHARK is 380MB/sec.
