Yes but, the 2104 must be in dual bus mode. If the 2104 is in single bus
mode it is not supported. To get dual bus mode the "SCSI Bus Split" switch
must be set to ON on the switch card

Documented on page 152 - 2104 Service Guide as a supported configuration
with the 2498 adapters.

Subject: [Q] 2104 disk array use split bus musr connect ot different hosts?

we plan to use split bus on our 2104-DU3 disk array and connect to 2498
adapter (Ultra scsi3 4 ports). Our contractor call IBM support about this
issue. the answer from IBM support is "NO". They said 2104-DU3 split bus
must connect to two different hosts. I call IBM support again (different
support engineer), the answer is "yes and NO". He first tole me "no" ,
then told me "yes" without much explaination.

Does anyone have experience on this? Can I connect two cables from
2104-DU3 use split bus and connect to 2498?

Thanks.
