A positive organisation climate both motivates the staff to observe IT security safeguards and reduces negligent or deliberate acts which can cause disruption to the IT operation. Therefore, efforts should be made, also from an IT security point of view, to achieve a positive working atmosphere. The wide range of possible means cannot be listed here; therefore, only a selection of measures is given, the adequacy of which will have to be determined on a case-by-case basis:
